Bulldog Bash 2005
Went down on Thursday with Joanne and Matt, met up with Rort, my brother-in-law, my sister and Shane, who some of you may have met at Rock & Blues and NABD. Plenty of beer drunk Thursday night, whilst the busa was made race ready (Dropped the rear suspension and strapped the front end down remove number plate mudguard mirrors and tape up lights and fuel up with AV Gas 100 octane) and up for 8.30 am scrutineering on drag strip Friday morning.
The busa has had new Barnett clutch, new tyre, 13" over swinging arm, 1428cc big bore, Yoshimura cams, high compression pistons, bigger valves, Cosworth flowed head, Power Commander 3, high flow fuel pump, special race ignition and Acropovic full titanium race exhaust since last raced at NABD at York...on unleaded it made 206.1hp on the dyno without nitrous recently.

Met up with Dean Short, Naz's son and we soon became known as the busa burnout team...we were very, very close on times, consistently into the 9 second runs - Salutation top gave me the edge though.
The two Fireforce cars came out and did the normal super show, then off to the beertent. We came back earlyish and busa got started up...and SHIT HAPPENED! Because it was so low the grass under it caught fire and flames under the bike with 20 litres of Av gas! Big thanks to Rort for being a star and throwing his last can of beer at the busa to stop the explosion and Richie for his water can and speedy action...more runs on drag strip on Saturday morning till the rain.
Then all got hammered in and around Terrorvision playing...Sunday up again and ran on the dragstrip till finished off the new tyre, then back home for tea at mummies.
