Birthday Bash 2

I’m really knackered now!!

The 2nd Club birthday party happened to be at the White Lion, Brinklow. Camping and the band, Inside Out, were provided by the pub for no charge. Most of the Club were able to attend and marvel at the new rally/rock shack/tent thing we’ve got. It looked really good...on the Saturday afternoon before the Sunday morning when it had the shit kicked out of it with the gale that was blowin’!!

looking like you’ve gone ten rounds with umpteen pints of Timothy Taylors landlord bitter

Several guests arrived including representatives of the Road Slayers, Taff Riders, BIA, Royal Oak Rejects, Silverbacks, RBLR, Biddy & Emily, Crossed Keys and Baz, who had called in the pub a few weeks earlier. Geoff, landlord, had told him a ‘bikers meeting’ was happening in a few weeks time and he called in on spec. Had a great time too if looking like you’ve gone ten rounds with umpteen pints of Timothy Taylors landlord bitter and he looked very rough on the Sunday morning! Andy ‘Sexless’ Griffiths arrived from Kendal. Andy was an original member of the Club and it was great to see him again, wearing his old Salutation, Ambleside sweatshirt.

Mandy is officially a miracle worker producing so much food! The pub gave over the small lounge bar for all the grub. Speaking of Grub our newest, smallest and cutest member of the Club brought her BeetleMum and BeetleDad and brother and sister to show them how to party.

We had a raffle too; Kerry extorted £142 from various pub punters and party goers all for Chernobyl Kids UK. Well done lass. There was a cake and candles and singing of Happy Birthday, again. I was hammered, again. Naz was drinking tequila and lucozade "It’s healthy, one of your 5 a day" he said!

Ian and a few others attacked a defenceless piano and smashed it to bits for the fire

I know a lot more happened during the course of the day/evening/morning; (Ian and a few others attacked a defenceless piano and smashed it to bits for the fire, we had a fire for a bit before the rain arrived, the kids helped tidy up on the Sunday morning by taking the photos off the pub wall) but my memory is shot to pieces.

Needless to say all had a great time, especially the landlord, his takings were far better than even he imagined but we already knew they were going to be...what else could happen when you get 50 or so bikers in a pub!!

Onwards and upwards to party number 3 in a few months time, Happy Birthday everyone!
